Paint Inspection Ltd provides independent third-party inspection of protective coating work across the UK. We support asset owners, consultants and contractors with evidence of the preparation, application and finished condition of coating systems against the agreed project requirements.
When to involve an inspector
Bring inspection requirements into the project before coating work starts. We can review the specification and Inspection and Test Plan, identify the stages requiring inspection and support an agreed programme of site attendance. Inspection can support new work, maintenance painting and refurbishment.
What the agreed scope can cover
Surface preparation, environmental conditions, surface profile, soluble salts, wet and dry film thickness and coating application checks. Adhesion or holiday testing may be included where appropriate to the system and project requirements. Tests, sampling locations and acceptance criteria are agreed for the project.
Records for the project team
Inspection reporting records the work observed, relevant measurements, photographs and issues identified within the agreed scope. Clear records help the team assess progress and address non-conformities while the work remains accessible.
